Providing psychological assessment services and reports that you can understand.

Your school or teacher has suggested your child have a cognitive or psychoeducational assessment and you’re not sure…
You feel like you can never stay on task, you’re always distracted, you find it hard to get started on projects, or feel out of step with the world and you’re not sure:
What that means?|Who to ask?|Where to start?

Struggling to stay on task?
Can’t start projects?
Constantly getting in trouble for not listening or distracting others?

Despite their best efforts, your child is struggling academically and/or socially?
Has difficulty decoding words and understanding what they’ve read?
Find it hard to control emotions and overreacts?

Do you have difficulty planning and carrying out tasks?
Do you have trouble not interrupting?
Are you often told you’re too blunt?
Do multistep tasks feel overwhelming?
Is it hard for you to identify and regulate your emotions?

WHAT IS AN ASSESSMENT?
Our assessments are holistic and comprehensive.
The Intake
After payment of a deposit, you complete a Consent Form and Background Information Form, which provides a detailed developmental, medical and family history. If further information is required, the psychologist will contact you to arrange for a short interview either immediately prior to the assessment portion of the assessment session, or by telehealth prior to the assessment session.
Payment of $1000 is required prior to the first assessment session.
The Assessment Phase
The assessment sessions are conducted. Assessments (cognitive, educational, ADHD, autism, behavioural, mood, executive functioning, and/or personality assessments) typically take two to four sessions to complete.
Most often these will be completed in person, but sometimes may be able to be completed online. All Questionnaires are all completed online.
The Report Writing Phase
The Report Writing Phase: On completion of assessment, a detailed report is compiled containing background, developmental, medical and family history, clinical observations, synthesised results of the various psychometric assessments, and practical, do-able recommendations for the individual, child, parent, schools or workplace.
